Non-Water Soluble Refractory Cement. FREE Shipping.
Building codes (NFPA 211) typically require clay flue liners to be imbedded in a non-water soluble aluminate refractory cement mixture. Flue Goo II is a gray colored refractory cement product that is non-water soluble after drying. It is often used for setting firebrick, parging walls of smoke chambers, and for clay flue tile installations. This product is a dry mix (powder) and each gallon sets about 10-20 clay flue tiles, or 30 firebrick. It covers approximately 4-6 sq. ft. when parged to a thickness of 1/8-1/4". Withstands temperatures up to 2,200 degrees F. Not for exterior use.
